Two brothers arrested in connection with 405 Freeway shooting in Van Nuys

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Police arrested four people Wednesday night after a shooting on the 405 Freeway near Arroyo Chiquito in Los Angeles.
Investigators said the shooting happened at around 9 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Arroyo Chiquito and the 405 Freeway.
Police said two men, ages 23 and 32, and two women, ages 20 and 25, allegedly took turns with handguns and fired their weapons multiple times at each other.
One of the victims, 23-year-old Victor Mendez, is in serious condition after being shot in the face by the gunfire.
The shooting suspect was arrested by detectives and booked on suspicion of attempted murder. Police said the shooting suspect fled from the shooting scene.
A second suspect, 32-year-old Michael Williams, was arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of attempted murder and attempted car theft.
Williams is being held on $1 million bail and was taken to jail.
The suspected shooter was a woman, ages 24, who was also in custody under suspicion of possession of a firearm by a felon, as well as being a felon in possession of a firearm and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.
Police released additional images of the suspect Wednesday night.
