The Oscar-winning actor Nicolas Cage just had an absolutely spectacular reaction to the Golden Globes on Sunday – the cutest thing you’ll ever see!
In the highlight reel of his life, Cage recaps: his career, his marriage to Alice Kim (2000-2010), his relationship with co-star Ochiai, his bodyguards, etc, etc.

The narration picks up as the glitzy presenters take the stage. “Watch the great Joaquin Phoenix,” the clip begins. “If not for the support he gave me during, well, quite a battle in my life. He was very kind to me.”
Entering the ceremony, Cage mentions his relationship with Joaquin Phoenix (the pair starred in 2013’s Kick Ass 2) and says “I don’t have to pretend it’s easy. It’s very hard. Don’t take my word for it. People die trying.”
He and Phoenix joined other actors in presenting an award for Best Animated Feature, where Cage explains what the brain does in 3D. “I will tell you what the human brain does when you see a 3D film,” he said to the crowd before the title card rolled and he and Coppola got up and walked to the podium.
Cage, who was nominated for Best Actor for Leaving Las Vegas, moved us all.
And now here’s the tear-jerking segment – Cage and Quentin Tarantino present Lupita Nyong’o with the award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Black Panther.
“My wife is so not here and my daughter is,” he said in an obviously sincere speech as he accepted.
And look at that glorious face!
A series of iconic clips from his career film-by-film round the back of the video.
And then he gives a very big “Yesssssss” (Hiss!) before exiting the stage. It really is the most remarkable speech this week!
